The "Guidelines for the Development of the" 13th Five-Year Plan "of China's Wire and Cable Industry (referred to as" Opinions ") compiled by the China Electrical Equipment Industry Association has been initially completed. According to the "Opinions", the overall trend of the industry during the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" period is to slow down growth, and enterprises urgently need to seek high ground in technology.

 

 In March of this year , the Wire and Cable Branch of the China Electrical Equipment Industry Association started the preparation of the "Opinions", which has now been basically completed. People in the Association predict that the overall growth trend of the industry will slow down during the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" period, and the central region that radiates and connects the east and west is expected to maintain rapid development.

 

Despite the huge market space in the entire industry, special cables with large demand have always been China's short board, and the high-end market is basically monopolized by foreign giants. Therefore, how to improve the technical level of domestic cable manufacturers and pry open the high-end market is an important issue to be considered during the "13th Five-Year Plan" period.

 

Association members said that the "13th Five-Year Plan" wire and cable industry must rely heavily on scientific and technological innovation, with digital and intelligent manufacturing as its theme, to seize the commanding heights of international industry competition and seek the initiative of future development.

 

Wu Shimin, executive deputy secretary-general of the Wire and Cable Branch of the China Electrical Equipment Industry Association and deputy director of the Information and Exhibition Center of the Shanghai Cable Research Institute, believes that the "13th Five-Year Plan" should focus on the innovation chain of the industrial chain, arrange the capital chain around the innovation chain, and finally increase the value chain of the industry At the same time, it will conform to the trend of transformation and innovation, consolidate the foundation for development, strengthen intellectual property protection, and accelerate the pace of standardization reform and innovation.
